Welcome to the Office of Admissions at the University of New Orleans

The University of New Orleans is located on the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain and only minutes from the fun and excitement of downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter. With an enrollment of about 12,000 students, UNO offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees through the doctoral level.

Our five colleges offer a variety of studies in business administration, education, engineering, liberal arts and sciences. Besides the University's superb location, varied programs, and quality faculty, UNO awards numerous undergraduate scholarships to freshmen and transfer students. Our faculty, in additional to being well-respected and well-known in their fields, are extremely approachable and dedicated to their work. UNO offers two student residence halls, brand-new Pontchartrain Hall and Privateer Place Apartments. Students are active at the University of New Orleans, participating in over 100 student organizations, NCAA Division I athletics and they take an active role in the University itself. Students work-out in a state of the art 87,000 square foot Recreation and Fitness Center, visit the University Center to hang out or grab a cup of Starbucks Coffee and lunch at six different meal stations.
